For the second year running I took part in this brilliant festival in St. Hélén, Brittany with friend and fellow artist, Charlie Hall. The festival runs over two days every year around the end of June and over the course of the two days you are invited to watch various circus and comedy acts of the finest quality.
The festival is really reasonably priced and under 14s are free. As well as the superb shows, there are also lots of wonderful workshops taking place for kids (big and small), ranging from extravagant hats 'made-to-measure', fashioned from crepe paper, a group of artists taking fun and original portrait photos, a truly original hairdresser and of course many other creative activities including our workshop.
Following the success of last year's workshop where the children helped make masks based on the children's book 'Where the Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak, we chose to carry on the them of masks made from cardboard but this time on the theme of the Mexican Day of The Dead.
We had a great time and so did the kids whose creativity and enthusiasm never ceases to amaze.
Thanks to all the people involved in the organisation of the festival and to all the kids who took part! If you want to find out more about the festival you can visit their facebook page here.
