long overdue

I realise it’s been some time since I last wrote here; before the summer holidays in fact! So, let’s get up-to-date on a little of what’s been going on since July 3rd. A couple of days after my last post I was lucky to embark on a two week family holiday to Berlin which was fantastic. Berlin is a great city and if you don’t know it; it’s so worth a visit. Relaxed and (unlike many other capitals), relatively inexpensive. There are a mass of things to do and visit, not to mention the Berlin Wall and all the Street Art worth seeing. We walked until our feet hurt through Berlin’s various quarters and spent quite a few evening hours in some of the many beer gardens (like the one below), so popular with the Germans. I’d go back at the drop of a hat.

Obviously September brought the return to school and the old routine. Like many other months, it came and went in the blink of an eye and I don’t feel like much was accomplished aside from cleaning out the overgrown jungle which was masquerading as our greenhouse.

October? Well, that came and went in the fashion of September. Nevertheless, I did manage to work on some more of my pâpier-maché houses (which you may have seen on Instagram, if so, sorry for repeating myself!) :)

So in case I don’t manage to write here for another, what was it, four, five months? This is what i’ve got on my to do list BEFORE Christmas:

1 - Re-open an Etsy shop. The only way to now purchase my paintings since I closed my Artfinder shop is through me directly - not practical.

2 - Make more papier-mâché houses, smaller this time, which i’ll be offering for sale (see first item on list) - watch this space

3 - I’ve made some fabric dolls in the past and i’ve been considering making some new ones for a while now…perhaps, perhaps…

4 - Various other stuff which I like to do, such as: Knitting - I managed to knit one jumper and two pairs of socks so far this year; Sewing - I have a Slow Sunday Paris ‘Dorothie’ pattern all cut out and ready to sew (soon); Cooking and Baking followed by the enthusiastic devouring of the aforementioned.

Let’s meet up again soon, where I can hopefully check a few of these things off my ever-growing list!
